Olivia Wigzell is the new Director-General of the Public Health Agency. She comes most recently from the position of Director-General of the National Board of Health and Welfare, a post she has held since 2015.
Wigzell has, however, been acting as Director-General of the Public Health Agency since August 15, 2024.
She is succeeding Karin Tegmark Wisell, who has been appointed by the government as Sweden's ambassador for global health.
