A doctor at a hospital in Halland is being prosecuted at Varberg District Court for repeated data breaches.
The doctor has, on 40 occasions, opened and read medical records concerning forty different patients without having any reason to access their medical history within the framework of their work at the hospital.
The breaches occurred over a period of four months in the spring of 2023. The patients affected are listed as plaintiffs in the prosecution. The doctor partially admits to the crime.
