Excessive emissions are causing Volvo Cars to recall five different Volvo models, reports the magazine Vi bilägare. The car models affected are: S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country built between April 30, 2018–August 23, 2020, as well as XC60 and XC90 manufactured between November 13, 2017–May 12, 2019.
The decision comes after the Dutch authority RDW discovered that the cars have excessive emissions and the vehicle manufacturer must rectify this through a software update. When this will happen is not yet clear.
We have been in contact with RDW regarding this and although we plan to launch a related software update on certain cars, no such action has been taken yet, says Magnus Holst at Volvo Cars' communications department to the magazine.
In Sweden, up to 4,000 cars may be affected by the update, writes Vi bilägare.
