Danmark's inflation – that is to say, the consumer price increases in the year-on-year rate – was 2.2 per cent in May, according to Denmark's statistics office.
This can be compared with an inflation rate of 0.8 per cent in April.
"The higher inflation in May compared to the previous month is mainly due to the fact that the electricity price has risen," Denmark's statistics office writes on its website.
In Norway, the price pressure continues to ease. Inflation stood at 3.0 per cent in May, compared to 3.6 per cent in April.
