The sentiment in the Swedish business sector is somewhat gloomier, shows a new barometer from the government agency Konjunkturinstitutet (KI).

The so-called barometer indicator decreased by one unit in October, compared to September, to 93.6.

However, among households, the situation looks slightly better and the indicator rises for the 13th consecutive month.

"The sentiment among households improved further and is for the first time since December 2021 somewhat stronger than normal", writes Konjunkturinstitutet.

According to KI, households' view of their own economy remains more negative than normal.

"Households' plans for home purchases, home renovations, and car purchases have only changed marginally and are still more cautious than normal", writes the agency.
