Kambi does not usually comment on rumors and speculation, according to the company's chairman of the board Anders Ström. But he dismisses the rumor that a structural deal is being discussed.

"I can confirm that Kambi is not participating in such a discussion", he says according to a press release from the company.

When trading resumed after a trading stop due to the rumor spreading, the share price fell clearly – from an increase of almost 15 percent to plus 3 percent.

The speculation in the share took off after information in an industry news bulletin, where it was claimed that the American company Genius Sports had established contact with Kambi.

Kambi, which is not a regular gaming company but instead delivers sportsbook solutions to gaming companies, i.e. the platforms where the actual gaming takes place, has been surrounded by acquisition rumors for a longer period.
