Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) knocks on the door on Saturday evening. It's the number of votes that counts, not the feeling, he says.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) knocks on doors on the last Saturday.

Ulf Kristersson makes a final push on Saturday before the EU election and knocks on doors in Nyköping, Norrköping, and Linköping.

The local Moderates in each city have chosen which areas to knock on. As a result, many M-voters open the door, with cheerful shouts and many selfies as a consequence.

Kristersson says that the feeling overall is good ahead of the election, but with the caveat "you never know".

Wiveca Schenholm is one of those who gets a visit from the Prime Minister in the villa district of Smedby in Norrköping. The area is near Hageby where two men were shot dead on the night before Monday.

— There is so much crime and misery to take care of, she says.

— When we sit on our patio, we can hear helicopters hovering. It feels like trust is about to disappear.

It is just crime that is one of the Moderates' most important issues ahead of the election. But according to Kristersson, the next term in Brussels will still be about climate and migration. He also hopes that EU competitiveness will get more attention.
