The Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg has impressed the chief referee during the European Championship. Now Nyberg gets to referee the hot eighth-final between France and Belgium.
Now we have 15 matches left. We plan to use eleven-twelve referees. Some referees will not get any matches. We will give the best referees the coming matches, says the chief referee Roberto Rosetti at a press conference.
Nyberg has acted as main referee in two matches earlier during the European Championship, in the matches between Romania-Ukraine and Albania-Spain.
