Olsson back with Midtjylland soon

A good half-year after the collapse at home, the Swedish national team midfielder Kristoffer Olsson is soon back in individual training with his Danish club FC Midtjylland.

Olsson believes and hopes that he will be able to return to the same high level as before, but understands that it will take time, he says in an interview on the club's website.

I'm satisfied with life and have realized that anything can happen. But of course, I believe in myself that I can get back on the pitch. It would be the greatest for me, to be able to help the team, the players, and the club again, says Olsson.

The 29-year-old had been ill for several days before he collapsed at home on February 20. Later, it was established that he had developed multiple blood clots in the brain due to an extremely rare inflammation in the brain's blood vessels.

Olsson was initially treated in a respirator at Århus hospital, before he could be moved to a center with a focus on advanced rehabilitation of neurological diseases.

Since then, it has been a tough, long struggle back, describes Olsson in the interview.

I feel that I've come a long way. At first, I thought a lot about life, and it has been a tough struggle that I emerged victorious from. It has been tough and there has been a lot to think about, but I've learned that you have to be positive.
