Another workplace accident has occurred at Northvolt's facility in Skellefteå. An employee got solvent in their face, resulting in burns to the forehead, reports Aftonbladet.
The accident occurred on Sunday, in connection with the cleaning of a pipe. The employee wore a face mask, but it was not fully covering.
We have initiated an investigation into work environment crimes and bodily harm, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson at the police, to Aftonbladet.
Northvolt's battery factory in Skellefteå has been criticized after several accidents. A fatal accident last year is being investigated by the prosecutor.
A police investigation is also ongoing regarding three men in Skellefteå who were found dead after their shifts at Northvolt. It is still too early to say whether the deceased may have been exposed to something in their work environment or if the deaths have other causes.
