Slightly up on the stock exchange

The Stockholm stock exchange rises slightly. In the afternoon, the broad OMXS index is up 0.2 percent.

The telecommunications company Ericsson and the defense conglomerate Saab are performing the best among the most traded stocks on the OMXS30 list, up 0.9 and 0.7 percent, respectively. The engineering company Alfa Laval is rising 0.8 percent.

The real estate company SBB is falling 1.9 percent, while the hygiene and health company Essity is declining 0.7 percent. Telia is also retreating, down 0.8 percent.

On leading European stock exchanges, it's relatively calm – with a plus in Frankfurt and London, while the Paris stock exchange is pointing slightly downward.

The leading indices on the New York stock exchange closed on a plus on Friday after the sharp decline that began last week. Looking at the week as a whole, the Dow Jones fell 0.6 percent and Nasdaq 0.2 percent. The S&P 500 was marginally down. Ahead of the first trading day of the week, the futures market on Wall Street is pointing upward.

On Wednesday, both Swedish and American inflation figures are expected.
