The Stockholm stock exchange rose significantly on Thursday. The broad OMXS index closed at plus 1.1 percent.

In the morning, new Swedish inflation figures from SCB were released, showing that the KPIF inflation rate fell more than expected, to 1.2 percent. The market responded with joy.

Among the OMXS30 stocks, the industrial conglomerate Alfa Laval performed best, ending the day at plus 3.2 percent. A clear majority of the list's stocks increased during the day, and the index rose a total of 0.8 percent.

Clothing giant H&M also did well, up 2.7 percent.

At the other end was cloud service company Sinch, which fell 2.2 percent.

Boliden, which reported a billion-kronor cost in the morning due to delays at a smelter, fell 0.6 percent.

In the afternoon, the ECB, as expected, lowered its key interest rate to 3.5 percent. The leading European stock exchanges rose during the trading day.
