The Government proposes an increase in the amount limit for deducting work-related travel expenses to 13,000 kronor, up from the current 11,000 kronor, the Government writes in a press release.

"The proposal is announced in the Government's autumn budget and is expected to increase tax revenues by 570 million kronor per year from 2026", the Government writes.

The amount limit is not indexed and needs to be adjusted to prevent erosion, according to the Government. The adjustment now proposed is the first since January 1, 2017.
