Swedes' online shopping continues to increase, not least from abroad.

According to new figures from Transport Companies and HUI, eleven million packages from foreign e-retailers were delivered during the second quarter of the year, three million more than during the same period last year.

New is that China has surpassed Germany. China is now the country from which most packages from abroad come.

"We see that the large increase in foreign packages persists. It cannot be denied that the Shein and Temu effect affects how we Swedes shop online", says Tina Thorsell, social policy manager at Transport Companies, in a press release.

The total package volume during the period increased by 9.6 percent. Packages sent to delivery points increased by 15.2 percent, while home deliveries decreased slightly.

Even returns of e-commerce packages decreased. During the second quarter, 11.3 percent were returned. One sees, among other things, that goods purchased online are increasingly being returned in physical stores.
