Unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange – lift for SBB

The Stockholm Stock Exchange started the trading week unchanged, and closed slightly above zero. The real estate company SBB, on the other hand, had a sunny day, and rose nearly 10 percent.

The first trading day of the week initially offered broad increases, but ended more modestly. The broad OMXS index closed unchanged, while OMXS30 rose by approximately 0.1 percent.

Despite the moderate increase on OMXS30, the majority of the list's shares ended on the green.

The best performer was the real estate company SBB's share, which rose by 9.9 percent. The heat pump manufacturer Nibe also performed well, increasing by 1.6 percent. The appliance giant Electrolux rose by 1 percent.

The Statistics Sweden (SCB) published preliminary GDP figures during the morning, showing that the Swedish economy slowed down by 0.8 percent during the second quarter. In June, however, GDP increased by 0.9 percent compared to the previous month.

The focus for the rest of the week lies, among other things, on interest rate decisions from the central banks in the USA, the UK, and Japan.

The development on the leading European stock exchanges was mixed, with increases in London and decreases in Paris.
