A train en route from Örebro collided with a stationary tractor trailer in Köping.

Total 208 passengers were on the current train, and 15 passengers are believed to have been injured in connection with the collision. Several of them were transported to hospital by ambulance. No one is believed to have sustained more serious injuries.

The remaining passengers from the train could be evacuated with the help of buses.

The police have seized the tractor, which was attached to the trailer, and a technical investigation will be conducted on the tractor in order to rule out any potential errors on the vehicle that could explain why the trailer came loose from the tractor.
