02:17 An alarm is received about an ongoing assault in Eskilstuna city center. A 30-year-old man claims that two other men are threatening and hitting him. When the police arrive, the two suspected perpetrators, a 50-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, are found. They are arrested, initially suspected of gross assault. Further charges may be added. The victim is not seriously injured.

04:29 A larger building in Vagnhärad is on fire, with security guards who are trying to put out the fire initially on the scene. The fire department arrives and finds the fire to be extensive with open flames and heavy smoke development. The extinguishing work has been ongoing all morning as the building is large and the fire has spread. The premises include, among other things, a restaurant, where the fire is believed to have started, and a hairdresser. The charge is gross arson.
