Örebro Hockey and Philip Holm are parting ways, the club announces on its website.

It's sad that we've ended up in this situation, it's something that has taken up a lot of time and energy lately, says Örebro's sports manager Henrik Löwdahl.

Philip Holm fell out with the club at the end of last season and spent the playoffs on the stands.

He was also one of eight players who sued Örebro last winter for unpaid pension premiums, which laid the foundation for the conflict.

The 32-year-old, who had one year left on his contract, has not trained with the team during the spring and summer.

Holm is now free to leave for another club.

We've now found a solution, which has been important for us. We need to learn from what's happened over the past few months, while I feel that we can now look ahead and focus on developing the club, says Henrik Löwdahl.

Holm played nearly 100 matches divided over two seasons in Örebro.
