The audit work begins immediately, but it is still unclear when it will be completed.
Several companies have terminated their collaboration with Effective Communication after the revelation that the telemarketing company has primarily focused on deceiving elderly people into buying lottery tickets belonging to Kombispel, the Social Democrats' lottery concern.
The Social Democrats have fired Kombispel's board of directors and CEO after the revelations, and Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (The Moderate Party), who says he is shocked by the information, expects the Social Democrats to also conduct an investigation.
I expect S to get to the bottom of what has happened and report it openly, says Strömmer.
He also believes that there is an unanswered question regarding the elderly who may have been deceived.
