The trial against hip-hop star Sean "Diddy" Combs will begin on May 5, 2025. The court in New York announced this on Thursday.

Diddy is accused of, among other things, rape, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation. Sean Combs himself has denied everything and wants to be released from custody pending further proceedings, which the court has not granted.

The many allegations began when Diddy's former girlfriend Cassie Ventura came forward with accusations against him last year.

The prosecutors accuse him of running a "sex crime empire" and forcing women to have sex with male prostitutes in day-long "sex shows".
