L and KD fall below the parliamentary threshold in SCB's latest measurement of party sympathies – and support for KD has almost halved since the election.

Both parties are losing primarily to their government colleague Moderaterna.

The government cooperation is wearing down the smaller parties. KD receives 2.8 per cent in the measurement, which is almost a halving compared to the 2022 election when the party received 5.3 per cent. It is the worst figure for KD since the party entered the Riksdag in 1991.

KD is losing primarily to Moderaterna, approximately 1.4 per cent, but also to SD and S.

Liberalerna also fail to clear the threshold in SCB's large measurement, which includes over 9,200 respondents. L receives 3.2 per cent, which means the party has lost 1.4 percentage points compared to the election. L is losing both to Moderaterna and to Socialdemokraterna.

SD declines

Sverigedemokraterna declines by 1 percentage point to 19.5 per cent. However, there is a significant difference between how men and women would have voted. 26 per cent of men respond SD, but only 13 per cent of women.

Moderaterna increases slightly to 19.8 per cent, but the change is not statistically significant.

Together, the Tidö parties receive 45.3 per cent in the measurement, while the opposition gathers 52.9 per cent.

The largest becomes Socialdemokraterna with 35.0 per cent. It is an increase of 4.7 percentage points compared to the election. S is picking up voters primarily from C, but the party's voters also come from the Tidö parties, primarily from M.

Centerpartiet has also declined since the election and receives 4.5 per cent in the measurement – a decrease of 2.2 percentage points.

Vänsterpartiet increases by 1.5 percentage points compared to the Riksdag election and lands on 8.2 per cent.

Unchanged for MP

Miljöpartiet receives 5.2 per cent in the measurement, which is essentially unchanged compared to the election result. The measurement was conducted between 2 and 30 May, during the European Championship election campaign, where MP received 13.9 per cent. Shortly before the measurement period, the new spokesperson Amanda Lind had also just been elected.

The party sympathy survey shows the result if there were a Riksdag election in May 2024. Over 9,200 people are included in the survey, but more than half have not responded for various reasons. The question they were asked to answer is: "Which party would you vote for if there were a Riksdag election in the next few days?"

S: 35.0 per cent (+4.7)

M: 19.8 per cent (+0.7)

SD: 19.5 per cent (-1.0)

V: 8.2 per cent (+1.5)

MP: 5.2 per cent (+0.1)

C: 4.5 per cent (-2.2)

L: 3.2 per cent (-1.4)

KD: 2.8 per cent (-2.5)

Change from the previous Riksdag election in parentheses. All changes are statistically significant except for M and MP.
