Johan Floderus's dad, Matts Floderus, writes to TV4 that the family is happy to have their son back home.
"We still haven't quite grasped that he's home. We're incredibly relieved and very happy. The nightmare is finally over. For us! But at the same time, we're very sad that there are still innocent people imprisoned in Iranian prisons", he writes.
Matts Floderus tells the TV channel that Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson rang them on Saturday at 1 pm and announced that Johan Floderus was on the plane back to Sweden. The family was overjoyed and got to meet the 33-year-old for the first time in over two years at Arlanda.
He writes that the family feels gratitude towards individuals within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government, and the EU who helped to free their son. Now they just want to take it easy.
"The family should be together and Johan should, in peace and quiet, get to adjust to life in freedom", writes Matts Floderus to TV4.
