Gunilla Persson sees the guilty verdict against Stoppa pressarna as proof that the court took the matter seriously.

I'm grateful, she says to TT.

The case concerned three articles published between 2020 and 2021. The jury found that Stoppa pressarna was guilty of libel in one of the cases – an article that, among other things, claimed Gunilla Persson was suspected of benefit fraud. Gunilla Persson points out that all criminal suspicions were dropped as early as 2016.

Yet Daniel Nyhlén wrote that I would be arrested if I came to Sweden. Why then? I've never been convicted and there were no suspicions against me. It was a pure lie and witch-hunt, a way to get clicks on his website. If it had been in the USA, he would have had to pay millions.

Are you satisfied with the verdict?

This is just the beginning, there are more articles based on libel. The 5,000 kronor I got in damages is enough for a dinner party.
