The threats of a storm on Roskilde Festival's last night subsided. The winds did not become as strong as feared.
Strong gusts of wind, rain, and the risk of a storm led some festival visitors to leave Roskilde before the last festival night was over.
For a short period on Saturday evening, the Apollo stage had to be closed, and the artist Eartheater's concert had to be temporarily postponed. But the worst weather stayed away, and according to the management, the festival could continue and conclude without greater drama.
"The team behind Roskilde Festival has managed the festival many times and in all kinds of weather. Yesterday's weather did not bring any surprises or disruptions that could not be handled. Moreover, Roskilde Festival has a fantastic audience that knows how to adapt to the weather while still having a good time", writes the festival management in an email to TT.
"Today, the last festival visitors wake up to a sunny day, blue sky, and a fresh wind", they add.
