The Democrats' presidential candidate Kamala Harris describes herself and her vice presidential candidate Tim Walz as a duo that stands for optimism and a hopeful view of the USA, in contrast to the Republicans' Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance.

As Tim Walz puts it, we are happy warriors, said Harris when she and Walz campaigned in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

It was during their first, real campaign day together, when they also sought support in the state of Michigan, another of the states where the battle for voters can be toughest.

The cash flow to the campaign may be a reason for the joy. Within a day of Harris choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as the one she wants as vice president in the event of a victory in November, 36 million dollars have come in. This corresponds to approximately 380 million kronor.

And in less than two weeks in July, since President Joe Biden dropped out of his re-election campaign on July 21 and endorsed his vice president Harris instead, 310 million dollars have flowed into her campaign. This corresponds, in kronor, to over 3.2 billion.
