The Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, and the government's 23 ministers are to receive increased salaries, following a decision from the Ministerial Remuneration Committee.

Kristersson's new salary will be 198,000 kronor. The other ministers will receive 156,000 kronor per month, following the increases, which represent a 3.7 per cent rise.

The Ministerial Remuneration Committee is a specially appointed committee that, on behalf of the Riksdag, determines the salaries and severance payments of ministers.
