Sales in retail trade increased by 0.4 percent in August compared to July, measured in volume, according to seasonally adjusted figures from the Statistics Bureau.
The increase was equally large in specialty store trade as in daily goods trade.
Compared to August last year, the total increase, in volume, was 0.5 percent.
