Now Iran is warning of the consequences of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
"All impulsive actions by the Zionist regime can lead to increased instability, uncertainty, and war in the region," says Nasser Kanani, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, according to AFP.
Kanani accuses Israel of blaming Hezbollah for the attack in an attempt to divert attention from the war in Gaza.
After a rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, which killed at least twelve young people, Israel has responded with attacks "deep into Lebanese territory and in southern Lebanon". The targets are said to belong to Iran-backed Hezbollah, which Israel blames for the attack. Hezbollah has denied responsibility for the rocket fire.
