A Chinese journalist who, according to the Security Service, has been engaged in security-threatening activities in Sweden has been deported to China.
The woman, who has lived in Sweden for nearly 20 years and has family and children here, is said to have carried out her activities for over a decade and has been in custody since October.
SVT's Mission: Investigate has, together with Göteborgs-Posten's investigation, examined the case and now also taken part in official documents showing that she has now been deported to China. Earlier this year, SVT and GP revealed that the journalist, according to a government decision, would be deported for life. Now, the deportation has been carried out.
The Chinese Embassy called the decision "slander and attacks" in the spring.
The woman is said to have had close contacts with the Chinese Embassy and individuals in Sweden linked to the Chinese regime over many years.
She was identified last year in a report from the National Knowledge Centre on China at the Foreign Policy Institute, which stated that she had spread the Communist Party's message on her news sites. She is also said to have received payment from the Chinese Embassy for her articles.
After the Security Service's raid on the woman, her news sites fell silent, but now her activities appear to be underway again. According to SVT and GP, she writes on her site:
”After 18 years away from Beijing, I'm back again. I will rediscover the miracle of loving you!”
