In Norway, it means that 108 stores will be closed on Saturday when 1,200 employees are treated to festivities.
But the employees in Sweden will also get the same opportunity.
We will do the same thing, but a week later. We are having a party on November 9 in Gothenburg, says Sandra Martinsson, communications manager for Jysk Sweden.
So far, over 1,300 employees have signed up.
The party is an annual tradition that has always existed at Jysk, says Sandra Martinsson.
The day after, all stores around Sweden will be closed.
The communication around the party is partly a way for Jysk to showcase itself as an attractive workplace.
This is part of our way of showing appreciation for our employees, and it's great if more people find out about it. Then it's also for customers to know that we're closed and why, says Sandra Martinsson.
Only the party in Norway will cost Jysk "tens of millions", according to a press release. The costs for the party and closing are estimated to land at around ten million kronor for Jysk in Sweden.
Last fiscal year, the company set a revenue record of 3.1 billion Norwegian kronor for its Norwegian operations.
