American Northrop Grumman, manufacturer of everything from space equipment to weapons and warships, reports an operating profit of 1.12 billion dollars for the third quarter of the year.
This is a 10 percent profit increase compared to last year, which was more than expected. Analysts had on average expected an operating profit of 1.05 billion dollars.
Sales for the quarter increased by 2.3 percent to 10.0 billion dollars, which was marginally below expectations of 10.2 billion.
In the report, the company raises its forecast for 2024 to a profit of 25.65-26.05 dollars per share. Previously, the forecast was 24.90-25.30 dollars per share.
