Källström after the investigation: "No one is perfect"

The Swedish Football Association has received criticism since the introduction of new leadership - in the form of Fredrik Reinfeldt, Andrea Möllerberg, and Kim Källström. Now Källström responds. We take note of the criticism, and in the management group, we are reviewing different measures, says the former player at a press conference.

The newspaper Offside conducted an investigation earlier in the week of the Swedish Football Association, where it emerged that the employees do not have confidence in either the managers or the new leadership style, and that the staff is feeling unwell.

It's very sad that several colleagues and former colleagues are feeling unwell and are not satisfied with certain decisions that have been made. It's something we take very seriously and are looking into what we can do.

Since I got this position, we were going to start a change journey. We felt that we wanted to develop Swedish football, and then certain things need to change, says Kim Källström, football manager at the Swedish Football Association.

"Not perfect"

Källström is one of the top officials who have received criticism.

One takes on board all criticism. One does it as a player, and now I do it in another role. Some parts (of the investigation) maybe one can agree with, some not. I respect everyone's opinions. I also understand that I'm not perfect, but I have a great commitment to Swedish football and feel that we're on an exciting journey, he says.

Wants to have fun

No concrete changes have yet been made, but the management team has met and the discussions continue within the association, says Källström.

We're looking into what we need to do as an employer for everyone to think it's fun to work at the Swedish Football Association. It should be a fun workplace with a lot of competence. Above all, it's fun to work for the development of Swedish football and Swedish football's success.
