A man is being cared for in the ICU after a drowning attempt in Jukkasjärvi on Sunday evening, according to Region Norrbotten.
Another man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The alarm was raised shortly after 7:30 pm on Sunday evening.
It was people on land who noticed the men's cries for help when they ended up in the cold water, reported by P4 Norrbotten. The rescue service was able to rescue the distressed individuals from the water with the help of a boat.
