The man claimed to be a girl or boy in their early teens. Then, he encouraged children to perform sexual acts, which can be equated with rape. He has, among other things, asked a young girl to send intimate pictures of herself via Snapchat, reports Vimmerby Tidning.
Now, the man from Halmstad is being sentenced by the Halmstad District Court for a range of internet-related crimes, including eleven cases of child rape, aggravated child pornography, three cases of sexual harassment against children, and seven cases of exploiting children for sexual posing.
The sentence for the man – who is in his 35-year-old – will be imprisonment for seven years and four months. In total, he will also have to pay nearly three million kronor in damages to 17 different plaintiffs.
According to Vimmerby Tidning, this is not the first time the man has been convicted of similar crimes. On two previous occasions, he has been sentenced to prison for, among other things, child rape and aggravated child pornography.
