A 25-year-old man in Norrtälje has been sentenced to six years in prison and lifelong expulsion for, among other things, child rape, exploitation of children for sexual posing, sexual assault against children, and aggravated child pornography offense, reports Norrtelje Tidning.
Suspicions against the man were raised in May last year after a guardian of a girl in Norrtälje municipality filed a report on suspected grooming on Snapchat.
The man was arrested shortly after the New Year at his workplace.
The police seized three mobile phones and an iPad, which, among other things, contained a large amount of child pornographic material. Additionally, the police were able to recreate chats where the man had asked children to send pictures and videos of a sexual nature.
The police have been able to identify nine girls between the ages of 8 and 14 who the man had contact with on Snapchat.
The crimes were committed between 2020 and 2024.
