It is important to lift all restrictions on the use of American and British weapons against legitimate targets in Russia, says Foreign Minister Sybiha during a press conference together with the US and British foreign ministers, who are visiting Ukraine.

USA's Antony Blinken promises to work quickly on the issue.

We are working swiftly to continue ensuring that Ukraine has what is required to effectively defend itself, says the Foreign Minister.

Blinken and his British counterpart David Lammy are on a rare joint visit to Kiev.

Blinken has also promised during the visit that the country will support Ukraine with $717 million – equivalent to approximately 7.4 billion Swedish kronor – in economic and humanitarian aid to the country. Lammy promises that the UK will ensure that Ukraine receives hundreds of robots this year.

Wanted to hear about goals

Blinken said earlier that he wanted to hear directly from Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj and others in the Ukrainian government about what Ukraine's goals in the war are, and what the US can do to help them achieve them.

We see a future where Ukraine stands on its own feet, militarily, economically, and diplomatically, he said at a meeting at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry with representatives from the US, the UK, and Ukraine.

Zelenskyj says that Ukraine's plan to win over Russia is dependent on support from the US.

When it comes to the plan to achieve victory … it is primarily based on support from the US and other partners, says the President at a press conference.

Threatens revenge

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has recently increased pressure on Western countries regarding the issue of allowing the country to use donated weapons on Russian soil.

An American green light is becoming increasingly likely after fresh intelligence reports on Iranian deliveries of ballistic missiles to Russia. Earlier in the week, Blinken called Iran's alleged missile exports to Moscow a "dramatic escalation" of the Ukraine war.

Russia responds to reports of impending US restrictions by threatening revenge. Moscow will respond "appropriately" if Ukraine is allowed to strike Russian territory with robots donated by the US, according to the Kremlin.
