The National Police Commissioner continues to top the list of the highest-paid agency heads in Sweden, reports the trade union ST's newspaper Publikt. Petra Lundh receives 188,000 kronor every month. This is approximately 8,000 kronor more than her predecessor Anders Thornberg had last year.

The second place is taken by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's Director-General Nils Öberg, with a monthly salary of 183,600 kronor. Next is the Supreme Commander Micael Bydén, who will be leaving his post at the Swedish Armed Forces in September, with 181,500 kronor.

As in previous years, the Director of the Appeals Board for Student Aid, Robert Dalman, is at the bottom of the list with a monthly salary of 90,300 kronor.

New this year, however, is that half of the ten agency heads who earn the most are women. Moreover, Maria Bredberg, Director-General of the Fortifications Agency, received the largest salary increase of all in the latest revision – 6.9 per cent to 128,000 kronor.
