The presentation took place during a Disney event in California on Friday, in front of 12,000 spectators.

"Avatar: Fire and Ash" will have its cinema premiere on December 19, 2025, and is currently being filmed in New Zealand. Director James Cameron promises that viewers will get to experience new cultures, environments, and vegetation areas on the fictional planet of Pandora.

The new film is not what you expect. But it's definitely what you want, says the director.

The fourth and fifth sequels in the film series are expected to have their premieres in 2029 and 2031.

During the presentation, visitors also got to see clips from the upcoming "The Mandalorian and Grogu", Disney's first film from the "Star Wars" universe since "The Rise of Skywalker" in 2019. Fans will, among other things, get to see the character Baby Yoda again.

We're taking "Star Wars" back to the big screen, says producer Dave Filoni.

Pixar chief Pete Docter also revealed that a third "Superheroes" film was in the works. Additionally, "Frozen" director Jennifer Lee announced that there will be two new films in the series, with "Frozen 3" expected to have its premiere in 2027. This is according to BBC.

In recent years, several of Disney's costly ventures have flopped, including "Lightyear" and "The Marvels". However, this summer the company has delivered box office successes such as "Deadpool & Wolverine" and "Inside Out 2".
