Ingrid Lindblad has got a successful start at the major tournament Amundi Evian Championship.

The newly turned golf pro is in shared leadership after the first day.

It was a fairly easy round of golf, she says.

Just over a month ago, Ingrid Lindblad made her long-awaited professional debut after a successful amateur career.

Now the 24-year-old has got a successful start at the women's fourth major of the season, in French Evian-les-Bains.

She is in shared leadership on 64 strokes together with Thai Patty Tavatanakit and Scottish Gemma Dryburgh.

Lindblad started steadily with six straight pars, before the birdie festival could begin. During the next ten holes, the 581st-ranked Lindblad made six birdies. She didn't make a single bogey on the French course.

I think I missed two fairways and two greens. Just tried to hit where we had decided, she says at the press conference.

The Swede is now playing her first major tournament as a pro, and it's the first time she's playing in the Evian Championship. And she has nothing to complain about.

If you're not playing well, you can always look at the lake (Lake Geneva) and enjoy the view. It's very beautiful and the course is in top condition.

The next best Swedish player is Madelene Sagström, who is in shared tenth place after a 66-round. Frida Kinhult is in shared 20th place with 69 strokes for the day.
