William Nylander delivered both a goal and an assist when his Toronto swept out Los Angeles with 6–2.
The home team set the tone already in the first period and led 3–0 at the break after an assist by Nylander and double assists by Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
In the middle act, Nylander could make it 5–0 with a wrist shot in numerical superiority, his third full hit since the season start. The guests from California got a couple of consolation goals in the third before John Tavares nailed the final result in the final minutes.
Another Swede who made a mark in tonight's round was Pittsburgh's Rickard Rakell, who equalized to 5–5 in the team's win against Buffalo.
