Under the holiday season, several yellow warnings have been issued by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI), primarily in southern and western parts of Sweden.

And it has had a lot of consequences from the rain and thunderstorms.

Among other things, it has been out of order for tens of thousands of subscribers.

Almost 7,400 subscribers in Hultsfred, Oskarshamn, Vetlanda, and other towns in Jönköping and Kalmar counties were affected by power outages that were not resolved until Sunday evening, according to the electricity company Eon.

In another larger outage on Sunday in Kalmar and Östergötland counties, around 4,000 customers were left without power due to the thunderstorms.

Also in Kronoberg, Västra Götaland, Värmland, Blekinge, and Örebro counties, the thunderstorms extinguished the light for many customers.

In Blekinge, there were reports of water damage on Sunday. It involves buildings in several municipalities; Karlskrona, Karlshamn, Listerby, and Lyckeby, according to Sydöstran.

In Sjuhärad, there were several reports of lightning strikes that caused damage to electrical lines, according to Borås tidning. This includes two villas, one in Brämhult and one in Horred.

Even on Monday, there may be some rain and thunderstorms in central and southern Norrland, as well as northern Svealand. But by Wednesday, a low-pressure system will move in from the west. Then, temperatures will drop below 20 degrees Celsius across the country, according to SMHI.
