The phantom match against Norway was followed up by a brilliant performance against Germany.

Goalkeeper Johanna Bundsen is praised after 17 new saves.

She has never played better handball than she does now, says national team captain Tomas Axnér.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper made ten saves just in the first half in the winning match against Germany, 31–28.

After two matches and two wins, she stands at 35 saves.

She was great again, I usually say. It was fantastic, says team captain Jamina Roberts about Bundsen.

However, the goalkeeper was not entirely satisfied with her performance.

There are always things I feel I can improve, I'm self-critical. But I can definitely be "fairly" satisfied, she says when she finds out that's the word Roberts used.

"Small details"

What are you not satisfied with?

It's small details, I feel that there are a few balls I can actually take, she says.

If Sweden is to reach that dream and take a championship medal, a hot goalkeeper is needed. National team captain Axnér highlights the fact that Johanna Bundsen, who normally plays in German Ludwigsburg, continues to develop at the age of 33.

Bundsen says:

I've been waiting for this tournament, this Olympic Games, it's very fun matches to play. I try to go out and enjoy and have a lot of fun.

Goal scorer – again

If she's better than ever, she doesn't dare say.

It's hard to answer. I have to try to believe in myself and my playing style, and then we'll see how far it takes me. I feel relatively good form anyway.

Bundsen didn't just stop German goal attempts – she scored one herself, just like against Norway – in an open goal.

If there's an opportunity, I'll throw, I won't hesitate, she says.

Sweden pulled away in the first half to 19–12, but then lost pace in the second and the win stopped at three goals.

Axnér means that his team became sloppy and passive in the second half. Something that must be improved before the next match on Tuesday against Denmark and broken faster.

It's definitely something we need to work on. We've talked before about these stressful situations having to be shorter, says Axnér.
