At least eight people have died and several have been injured since a roof at a train station in northern Serbia collapsed.
The interior minister states in a statement, reports AFP.
Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says that four people have been taken to hospital, and that rescue teams have made contact with two people who are buried in the rubble.
In social media, several ambulances and fire trucks can be seen at the accident site. Excavators are searching through the debris after the collapse.
The train station in Novi Sad reopened in July after three years of renovation. Construction work was still ongoing in parts of the station when the accident occurred.
