The transitional government in Bangladesh is withdrawing the diplomatic passports of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ministers, announces the country's interior minister.
Sheikh Hasina fled to India after a student-led revolt in early August. Over 450 people died – many were shot by police – in the extensive protests that shook the country.
On Thursday, a UN delegation arrived in Bangladesh to investigate whether human rights violations occurred during the protests.
The country's new prime minister, Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, has said that his government will provide "all possible support" that the UN investigators need.
