The construction company Skanska has won 75 percent of a giant order for a large water reservoir project in Yonkers, New York, USA. The order value for Skanska is estimated at 630 million dollars, equivalent to 6.6 billion kronor, the company writes in a press release.
"The project includes upgrading the existing northern entrance and adding two new buildings for chemical handling at the Hillview Reservoir area", writes Skanska.
The construction, implementation of new electrical connections and distribution equipment are included in the project, as well as control and data systems and structures for controlling water quality and water pumps.
"The water supply to the surrounding community will be maintained during construction", writes Skanska.
