Sweden Crushed India: "Played Good Tennis"

Four matches, four wins and not a single lost set. Sweden rolled over India in the Davis Cup and is now clear for next year's qualifying for the final. Really fun that we could deliver and close out this match, says Filip Bergevi.

The Swedish team got a taste of victory on Saturday. Both Elias Ymer and Leo Borg won their singles matches at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm. This meant that Sweden only needed to take one more win on Sunday to win the meeting – something they managed to do directly.

We had good energy from the start and played good tennis, says Sweden's André Göransson in the TV4 broadcast.

"Played really well yesterday"

Filip Bergevi and André Göransson faced Sriram Balaji and Ramkumar Ramanathan. The match started evenly before Sweden managed to break the Indian pair's serve and take control of the first set. A set that Sweden eventually won with 6–3.

The second set also started evenly before Sweden could break the Indians' serve and take the lead with 4–3. After that, Sweden never let go of the match. The figures in the second set were written to 6–4.

Thus: 2–0 in sets and a secured Swedish victory against India.

Elias and Leo played really well yesterday. It's clear that it's nicer for me and André to go in with 2–0 so we can relax. Really fun that we could deliver and close this match, says Bergevi in TV4.

New victory for Elias Ymer

After the doubles, a fourth match awaited Sweden, which had already secured the victory. Then it went as in the other three matches – 2–0 in sets to Sweden.

This time through Elias Ymer, who played singles against Siddharth Vishwakarma. Ymer won convincingly with 6–2, 6–2.

He enjoyed playing in Stockholm.

There's nothing like playing on this court. You feel so at home and it's a fantastic setting, says Ymer in TV4.

Sweden 4–0 India:

Elias Ymer 2–0 Sriram Balaji.

Leo Borg 2–0 Ramkumar Ramanathan.

André Göransson/Filip Bergevi 2–0 Sriram Balaji/Ramkumar Ramanathan.

Elias Ymer 2–0 Siddharth Vishwakarma.
