Olympic Games triathlete Claire Michel from Belgium received hospital care after ingesting E.coli bacteria after swimming in the Seine. Now the Swedish Olympic Committee confirms that Swedish triathlete Tilda Månsson also fell ill after the competition.

"Tilda felt unwell on Saturday with vomiting but recovered quickly and is back in light training on Monday", the Swedish Olympic Committee writes in a press release.

The decision to hold the swimming segment of the triathlon event in the Seine has been heavily criticized from several quarters and was preceded by long-term work and large sums of money to address the poor water quality.
