The Sweden Democrats are opening up to expel party members with connections to the biker gang environment.
”There will be a new process both within the membership committee and also within the candidate committee connected to that type of members”, writes the chairman of the membership committee, Magnus Olsson, in a text message to SvD.
The move comes after it emerged that a person who attended Jimmie Åkesson’s wedding has connections to a criminal biker gang.
”My approach as chairman of the membership committee is to clean house”, Magnus Olsson writes further to the newspaper.
Top Sweden Democrats Mattias Karlsson and Richard Jomshof are said to have been aware of the man’s biker gang connections at the wedding. Jimmie Åkesson himself has stated that he was not aware of the information.
