Three people are being prosecuted for suspected disobedience to the authorities in connection with a pro-Palestinian protest in Lundagård at Lund University at the end of May, reports P4 Malmöhus.
When the demonstrators' tent camp was cleared before a doctoral promotion, the individuals remained inside the police cordons, despite requests to leave the area, according to the prosecutor.
The question is whether the individuals disturbed the public order enough to be convicted of a crime.
The requirement for disturbing the public order is not entirely clear-cut, I don't see that the legislation is more closely defined. Therefore, it's important that the courts get to try it, says prosecutor Maximilian Lönn to P4 Malmöhus.
The prosecutor is seeking 30 daily fines of 50 kronor each. The trial is tentatively scheduled for next week.
The defendants neither deny nor admit to the crime.
