During Harris' speech, the former president delivered around 40 critical comments about his opponent. Trump accused Harris, among other things, of being a leader that the world's tyrants "laugh at", and repeated his previous stance that the invasion of Ukraine would never have occurred if he were president.
Trump also criticized Harris for not addressing more about China, energy issues, and border control in her speech, and claimed that the US borders during his presidency were "the safest in history".
"She stands for incompetence and weakness. Our country is being laughed at all over the world", Trump wrote, and also accused Harris of not having accomplished anything during her time as vice president: "It's just talk and no action".
He repeated the criticism in a TV interview on Fox News immediately afterwards:
Why hasn't she done anything about all the things she complains about? She could have done it three and a half years ago, or tonight, said Trump.
